The kitchen was built around a central island unit with a thick solid sapele worktop. Long shelving and floating worktops are in birch ply for durability.

The island unit incorporates a sliding hatch in the worktop for a waste bin in the cupboard below. There is also a matching chopping board which doubles as a sink cover.
The doors are made from painted birch ply with a finger pull detail to reveal the end grain.
The worktop is made from Sapele and oiled.
