This staircase, part of a project by DO Architecture is constructed from birch ply with a hard wearing black velour laminate finish. The treads are in black rubber. The whole structure is supported off the wall and appears to float thanks to the halo lighting from the inbuilt LEDs. The sharpness of the design was thanks to 3D modelling and precision CNC machining.
